Rides a Surly Long Haul Trucker with 26″ wheels
Shot on State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara, CA
On a two year-long trip to Patagonia from Portland, OR.

Like many other people who appreciate a fine steel bicycle, Lee’s Surly Long Haul Trucker drew my attention immediately. It is a 26″ wheel version and was fully loaded. When asked where he was heading he told me that he was on the way to Patagonia, Chile. He was taking a two-year trip from Portland, OR to Patagonia. This is amazing. Bicycles can do wonders for young and old alike. They can help you see the world in the way that it was meant to be seen. To watch the sun come up and go down from the saddle of a bicycle must be amazing, especially if you’ve never been certain places before. There was a feeling of nostalgia that gripped when I was talking to Lee. I remember traveling long distances on my 1989 Marin mountain bike just looking at the landscapes and cityscapes. I hope we hear more from Lee as he continues on with his travels. But if he isn’t connected to the internet, I don’t blame him.
